Earn Can Fit Pro continuing education credits by taking this accredited Pilates Teacher Training Program.
 
Weekend One - February 18 /19 - 2012 - (16 hours)
Saturday 11am to 6pm, Sunday 9am to 6pm
(one hour break divided into 1 ½ hour lunch and 2 15 minute breaks.)
History and theory of the Pilates method - Who was Joseph Pilates?
Anatomy and Physiology of Pilates - movement principles, benefits
Classic Mat Program review - Beginner Level
  (Note: students should have 10 hours of personal practice at the beginner level before taking weekend 2).
Home Work - Read Pilates' Return to Life Through Contrology: by Joseph Pilates
 
 
Weekend Two - April 21/22 - 2012 - Saturday 11am to 6pm, Sunday 9am to 6pm
(one hour break divided into 1 ½ hour lunch and 2 15 minute breaks.)
Advancing the Classic Mat Program - Intermediate level.
Teaching Methodology – cueing, teaching alignment, modifications – focusing on pelvis/spine and shoulders
What is the core? And applying this knowledge to helping your students
Create and teach a beginner level class.
Homework - create a Pilates mat class that will develop strength and stability in new Pilates students.
  (Note: Students should have 10 hours of personal practice before taking weekend 3)
 
Weekend Three – June 2/3 2012 - Saturday 11am to 6pm, Sunday 9am to 6pm (one hour break divided into 1 ½ hour lunch and 2.15 minute breaks.)
Working with props – Balls, bands and rings
Advancing postures
Working in a mixed level class – cuing and instruction
Teaching Practicum
Theory Exam
Each weekend includes 2 free Pilate’s classes at Livewithspirit.ca, which can be counted as personal practice.
Each weekend is $250.00 plus GST, a deposit of $150.00 non refundable deposit is required to hold your spot.

The studio is open 15 minutes before each class we are closed all statutory holidays.
